Our service as outpatient clinic has highly specialized staff in the most current medical advances. We work closely with the National Programme for HIV and Aids, but we also do it privately. The services we provide include medical checkups with periodic taking of blood samples of our patients. We also offer other important services such as counseling, dental, palliative care. pediatrics, nutrition and diets all within our philosophy of maximum confidentiality, ethics, discrimination and quality. For the specialities we don´t handle we have a tied net of doctors and other professionals to refer our patiens inmediatly.
IDEV´s own clinical experience is shared with other institutions as universities (national and international), hospitals, pharmaceutical companies and frontline laboratories for research of different treatments for HIV and other opportunistic infections. We have two laboratories with highly qualified personnel and first line instruments to make rapid HIV test, Western Blot and CD4 count among others.
Since its very beguinning IDEV has implemented several educational programs to enable the higher number of people the training and information needed to fight HIV / AIDS. The programs are aimed at health professionals, medical students, social educators and counselors: also both private and public institutions. We are always also ready to participate on TV programs, press conferences and speeches when invited; something that we continously do since the days of our foundation.
